talking and talking ...

walking and walking ...

another nature outing ...

Last weekend we also went on a little hike in the high country around Portland. We took the stroller which bounced quite a bit over all of the rocks -- Eli had a blast getting bounced all around -- he laughed and laughed, and demonstrated his new screech, which sounds like a pterodactyl. Phoebe really liked the walk as well, it seems that anytime she leaves the neighborhood it rocks her world. Sunday was sunny and warm -- very welcome! This is the first winter that the early dark and grey skies has seemed a bit much.

The Greens play clamdigger

We went to the coast last weekend to try a little clamming and go on an adventure. It was a bit windy and chilly compared to home, so we were only able to stay outside for a short time. We caught a beautiful sunset but no clams!

Aloha Eli ...

This weekend our family went to a Luau for Eli's friend Liliko'i, who was turning one. Similar to Eli's 100 day party, Hawaiians have a big party on a child's one year birthday to celebrate their health and future. Eli really liked all the music and people and kids and we had a great time! Since last post, we also watched the giants win the superbowl, and, given Eli Manning's success, we thought it was a pretty cool day to have that name.

#1 ~ Eli at the beach!
#2 ~ Some of the singing and dancing ...
#3 ~ Right after the Giants win!
#4 ~ Eli Manning mvp. Eli Green ...
#5 ~ Eli has graduated to the "Wobbler" room at daycare. He's no longer an infant, he gets to hang with the bigger kids now....
