Green camping

helping dad pack the trailer, which dad finished building just in time

just about ready to go, packed in tight!

first night at camp, just after our first cow sighting. Not quite sure about this ...

next morning, starting to have some fun ...

telling the "cow" story -- over, and over, and over ...

driving a "tractor" with our camp friend Philip

playing around with mom and dad and phoebe ...

saying goodbye to dad before elk-hunting ...

Eli having "alone time", reading all his books in the tent

Breakfast!

packing up to go home ...

Camping is hard work! Time to go home ...

... but before we leave, had to get some pictures of those cows that kept visiting our camp site. "Hi cow, black one, white one, big one, poopen, eats grass, go home cow, where are you cow?"

august adventures around the house ...

wearing mom's shoes sure is funny!

Bambi fanatic

Eli and his new car/train set. New favorite!

Eli showing dad how to drive the train ...

throwing rocks at gale's creek

Eli and Dad, taking a break from rock-throwing

Eli's friend Minya who came over for a playdate. She and Eli are best friends at school.

Day at Hornings Hideout

J and Eli with two motorcycles. J is going to sell the white one, keep the orange

We went to Hornings Hideout today, which is a small family-run lake not far from our house. Reminds me a lot of Highland Lake. We had a fun day!

They gave Eli a bucket and net so that he could catch salamanders ...

Eli has been very interested in "tattoos" lately -- he puts stickers on his skin and gets sad when they dry up and fall off -- I put this Elmo one back on with scotch tape, which he liked a lot

J caught salamanders with his bare hands!

and ... Eli did not care for them at all. "All Done!"
